Cheese Beer Bread 3 Cups Self Rising Flour 1/3 Cup Sugar 1 Large Egg, beaten 12 Ounces Room Temperature Beer. 2 1/2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese Directions: Mix the Self Rising Flour and Sugar thoroughly in a large mixing bowl. Add beaten egg to the bowl and stir. Add the Room Temperature Beer and stir (Note: a Non-alcoholic beer can be used with the same results). Stir in the Shredded Cheddar Cheese and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a dark, greased bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when thumped. For 1 cup self-rising flour use: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder a pinch of salt.
