Biersuppe (Beer Soup) Yield: 4 Servings 2 c Milk 1 Stick cinnamon 1 Piece lemon peel 1" wide 1 tb Sugar 2 tb Cornflour 1/4 c Cold water 12 oz 1 can beer 1 Egg yolk, slightly beaten In saucepan, combine milk, cinnamon, lemon peel and sugar, bring to boil. Reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes. Dissolve cornflour in cold wtaer, stir into milk mixture. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in beer, heat. Beat a small amount of hot beer mixture into egg, return to saucepan. Stir well. Remove from heat, strain. Serve hot or cold.
